I know many here prefer the straight rate springs sold by another forum member here but I need advice on setting up the progressive springs on a 1150 including fork oil weight that worked well for a street (not racing) application.

GS 1150E suspension upgrades
I am in the process of restoring/upgrading a 1985 GS 1150E I bought recently. I replaced the rear shock with a Hagon as well as replacing all the associated shock linkage & swing arm bearings and seals. The front forks are next and I ordered a set of Progressive springs as well as new seals & bearings for the forks. There are no instillation instructions with these springs and I do not know if they need spacers. I ordered them through a major supplier but they are no longer listed on the Progressive Suspension web site. Anyone who has used this spring kit on a 1150 please chime in with advice.
