Hayabusa fork swap on a GS1000

Looking at putting a set of gen 1 hayabusa forks on a 78 gs1000. Anyone ever done this? If so, what all will I need to look into doing? Bearings? Machining the stem?

Allballs has the conversion bearings you'll need. Their site has a coversion table. Stem is fine as is. Steering stops may need some fab work. And keep in mind they are alot shorter than the stock forks.

Also mind the difference (if any) in triple clamp offset. That and the length difference will change the trail, perhaps by a lot. If it is a lot, big affects on steering feel and stability.
