86-87 18x2.50 six spoke Gixxer front wheel

I've searched but haven't found a definitive answer. Will this wheel with rotors fit between my 78 GS750EC forks or would a front end swap be necessary? Axle size is the same as is the bearing size, I believe. Any other considerations? Spacers, speedo drive. Anyone have a dimension between the rotors? I would like to keep my stock forks with emulators and new springs.

    Thank you for any replies,

    Bill K.

I suspect it will NOT. I have tried GSXR 1100 front wheels (2.75"x18") on an 82/83 1100E and it does not fit. GSXR wheels will not fit GS forks (except 1150) as there is not enough space for a caliper to go over the caliper and fit. The GSXR 750 and 1100 fork spacing (triple clamps spacing) is the same, so my guess is that the spacing between the rotors is also the same even though the GSXR750 rotors are smaller than the GSXR1100 first gen rotors. Calipers are different also so there is some uncertainty.

      Thanks, posplayr,
Would I be correct in assuming an option would be the six spoke 19x1.85 wheel from an 82/83 gs1100. It is the same size as my stock wheel. Does the twin pot conversion with F3 rotors buy any more clearance? (reduced rotor offset)
