79 GS1000n Front and rear brake rotors

I am going to change the front and rear rotors and pads on my 79. Can anyone help me with the best choice of rotors and pads. My riding style is mountains once a month and ride the bike a few days a week to work. It's basically a stock bike I just want to improve it. The bike has spoked rims, if that matters.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ken

You can put a comparable CBR rotor on the front, 90's 600 or 900 fit

The back, I don't know of a direct swap, but it's oversized already

    Are they warped?

New pads and stainless steel lines will make the biggest difference,

except for the Salty Monk uppgrade

Do you have a dual disc up front or single? If you have a single upfront simply upgrading to a dual, which can easily be done with a few parts, might be enough with the idea's about new lines that 'Big T' mentioned.

Sorry for the late response, the front rotor is a single and they are not warped, just showing wear. The pads need replaced. How would I go about putting dual rotors on the front wheel? Is there a kit made up for this?
        Thanks again,
        Ken

You need both fork legss, both discs, two calipers, and the lines and other hardware. Some folks like to change master cylinders. Just as easy and far far better to go with Saltymonk's brake upgrade. But if you want the original dual brakes I have some of the stuff that you will need.
