    G And GL Rims

My 1100GL has a J19XMT 1.85 rim while my 1100G has a J19XMT 2.15 rim. Any body know if the G rim would work on the GL? Both rims will tolerate a 100/90 19 tire. Wonder why they put the 1.85 rim on the GL.

I find working on my motorcycle mildly therapeutic when I'm not cursing.

Suzuki went to a 2.15 front wheel on the 1100G (and the later 850's too) because lots of guys were installing fairings on those bikes. You can use a 110 tire on them, although fender clearance is tight. It shouldn't be a problem with a 2.15 wheel on a GL, although if you move to a 110 tire as well I'm not sure.

Thanks, that was about what I was figuring. The GL actually takes a 110/90 while the G calls for a 3.50 H-19 but Shinko Tourmasters con't come in 3.50 H-19 with 110/90 being the closest.
