Can I put a little bit wider tire on the front and back on my 83' 750e?

Hey guys. Its been while but im just now starting on restoring my 750...

im looking for tires and i was wondering if i could go up in width? its looking like the factory rear is 120/90-17 but im seeing some 130/90s too.

im not trying to go super fat. just looking for other options close to factory.

Other may disagree but I have always thought the factory undersized the tires on the 83-6 750/700 bikes.Never even considered putting a 120/90-17 on the back of my 85 EF .A 130/90 is great and easier to find.Going to a 110/90-16 increases tire selection slightly to.

Cool. Yeah I think I'm gonna go with a 130 for the rear. I'll probably even do the 110 for the front I dunno lol

Do the 3.5" wide rear wheels from the later 1150 fit the 750?

I have one of those wheels if you're in need. The GS1150 front (16" the same as yours) needs the hub machined to fit in your forks, it's too wide. If I remember rightly you need about a 1/4" machined off the brake rotor mounting surfaces on each side... something like that anyway.
