79 GS550L Front brake caliper rebuild

Just bought a project 550L things are going pretty great so far but I'm having a hard time finding the right rebuild kit for the front caliper. Any suggestions?

There doesn't seem to be a K&L kit for your bike so look at an OEM parts seller and buy genuine Suzuki... The piston is no longer available but rubber parts seem to be. http://www.partzilla.com/parts/searc...ERS/parts.html

By the way, the word CARIPERS is French for brake I think. If you are rebuilding, I would use a Russel (or other brand) speed bleeder instead of the OEM bleed valve. There is an M7 long and an M7 short and you likely need the short. I would buy all the rubber parts needed but wouldn't buy AXLE CARIPERS #1 and #2 as these are just steel and will clean up.

Def go OEM. Your brakes are worth a few extra bucks. Hopw this helps you figure out which rebuild kit: http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...r-rebuild-kits

I ended up using th 77 caliper so I have a unopened rebuild kit for the later caliper. Let me know if you're interested.
