Specifications on banjo bolt for front brake caliper?

    Hey

Does anyone know the specifications for the front brake calipers banjo bolt on a suzuki gs 450ex from 1981?
    Thread pitch, size, length etc.?

Bought a new caliper but the bolt is missing.

From memory. M10 x 1.25, can't remember the length. If no-one else steps in, I'll measure one tomorrow. Also, an unusual size head. Either 12mm or 14 mm? Once again, I'll measure if required.

      Pretty sure it's 10mm x 1.0, and a 14mm head.

        Tom's right - it's M10 x 1.00 (metric extra fine). 14mm across flats. The one I'm looking at is 24mm long.

Almost all banjo bolts are 1.25 pitch with a few at 1.5 when they are M10. A few banjo bolts on some newer bikes are M8 and these also have 1.25 pitch thread.

GS banjo bolts are M10X1.00 pitch.

Later model Suzukis and other Japanese brands use M10X1.25 pitch.

The length isn't important -- you just look for a double or single banjo depending on how many fittings you're using.

Lots of them are but Suzuki and other have 10X1.00 pitch enough so it's not hard to find them.IIRC my Nissan car has 10X1.00 banjo's to.
