removing fork/headlight bracket

want to try relocating clip-ons underneath the tree clamp, but concerned about removing what was the headlight bracket btwn the two fork clamps on either side.? Is itokay just to cut them out to get the clip ons around the fork?

Have adjusted the forks now by about 2" above the top tree and thinking about putting the clip ons underneath. The ride may alot more forward leaning but will clean up a bit more.

Remove front wheel and loosen the top and bottom triple clamp bolts so that the fork legs can slide downwards. Remove the headlight brackets (do not cut them) and put the clip-ons around the fork legs before moving them all the way up into the top triple.

Yep -- don't cut parts. You may want them back. Or at least, someone will very likely want them if they're usable.

It's quite simple to remove them properly.

Hey, while you're at it, why not have a look at the steering stem bearings? If they're original, you'll benefit greatly from new ones.
