    97 gsx600f front end on 1980 gs1000g

I got ahold of a very good condition gsx600f for the low price of free and i read that it will be a pretty easy swap to install the triples and forks on to my gs. My concern is that with the shorter forks and smaller rim that i might get some wobble at speed from lowering the front, id like to avoid that. If anyone has done this swap id like to know over all how it went for you how does it handle and what not

Haven't used the front off a Gsxf but do have one from a 96 Bandit 600 on my 1000, and found that It turned in real quick , but going from a 120 /60/17 (stock for bandit6 ) to a 120 /70/17 front made a big difference . I think they are the same length fork tubes but not positive, and the upper triple is set up for 7/8 bars, and not clip-ons

All Balls Racing sells conversion bearing for pretty much any swap. The only thing you may have to modify is the steering stops on the frame/forks.

Hundreds of people have put sport bike forks on their GS, none complained about the handling.
