So I'm getting my stock forks rebuilt. and it's costing me around $150. but i didn't even think to look around for a better option, so I'm asking just that:
is there an upgrade that would have been better than just rebuilding stock forks?
Would buying low mileage forks off of another bike been better?
my other concern and is that the mechanic rebuilding them said that the springs were soft for someone of my stature (i'm 6'2" around 250LBS).
what are some better options for me? If there is a much better offer than the rebuild, i will do that and just sell the forks.
