    GS650GL rear shock mount

The bolt (circled in red) snapped on the end when I was tightening my new rear shocks. After pulling the seat off it looks like this bolt is part of the frame - has anyone else had this happen? I imagine I could just weld a new bolt in place, but hoping there are some easier options.

Also, if anyone has information as to the bolt/nut size that'd be super helpful, the nut is almost a lugnut of sorts but running to a few autoshops with broken pieces I had a hard time matching them.

You can weld a bolt in place just be careful. Although I have not seen an issue with my daughter's bike that I did this with, I would recommend going completely through the frame instead of the way I did it.

I'm glad this isn't the first time it's happened! Do you remember offhand what size bolt you used?
