When you turn the ign. on, does the tail light, brake light, or both come on??? If the brake light comes on, when you activate the brake, there will be no difference in the light.1983 GS1100E, 1983 CB1100F, 1991 GSX1100G, 1996 Kaw. Tape a plastic baggie around the bars and under the switch before disassembly. Stick the screw driver thru the baggie to remove the switch. This will catch the U shaped contact, spring, and the black plastic thing when they fall out of the handle. And as was stated above, a dab of grease will stick the spring into the black plastic thing when reaseembling.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.
