1100ES vs 700ES rear tire

1100ES vs 700ES rear tire
The stock wheel size appears to be the same on these two bikes (2.5in width and 17in diameter) so why is the recommended tire for the 1100 130/90/17 but for the 700 it's 120/90/17? Couldn't the 700 take the 130 width just as well?sigpic

Better check swingarm clearance. The 700 wheel can support the wider tire though.Ed

Good. Not a big fan of the tire that's on there now. Might try a Sport Demon. It should last a little longer than they do on the 1100s since the 700 doesn't make nearly the torque.sigpic
