Rear brake pads thickness..78 1000
Was looking up pads for the project bike and noticed Veshra has 2 thicknesses....6.5MM and 9MM. Ive never measured a new one so will either thickness work?? Im thinking yes. This is the Veshra listings on Ebay......looking at both front and rear pads. Suzuki wants an arm and a leg for pads.
MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)
1978 GS 1000 E, 1979 GS 1000 S, 1973 Yamaha TX 750, 1977 Kawasaki KZ 650B1, 1975 Honda GL1000 Goldwing, 1983 CB 650SC Nighthawk, 1972 Honda CB 350K4, 74 Honda CB550
NEVER SNEAK UP ON A SLEEPING DOG..NOT EVEN YOUR OWN.
I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.Tags: None

EBC FA36 or equivalent will fit. No idea about thickness

The solid brake disc/rotor with alloy centre is thicker than the one piece slotted rotor, could that be it ?. 9MM seems thick. My bikes 79 GS1000 1085 checked and approved by stator the GSR mascot :eagerness: and 77 GS750 with 850 top end, GS850g, and my eldest sons 78 GS550, youngest sons GS125. Just cleaned the pads and pins etc on my 79 GS1000N, friction material is 6mm and they have not done very many miles. Don't think the 9mm pads would fit with a thick disc/rotor. Disc thicknes is 6.5mm on mine. Hope this helps, Chuck. My bikes 79 GS1000 1085 checked and approved by stator the GSR mascot :eagerness: and 77 GS750 with 850 top end, GS850g, and my eldest sons 78 GS550, youngest sons GS125.
