Should I ignore Motorcycle Superstore here?

From what I can tell, my 1982 GS850GL should be running tire sizes at:

    Front: 100/90-19
    Rear: 130/90-17

Enter the all-knowing Superstore tire guide:

Should I ignore this, or do I have a the size wrong?

    Thanks!
    -Rich

Unless somebody had changed the rear wheel, you should have a 16" rear.

Proper sizes should be 100/90-19 front, 130/90-16 rear.

What manual did you get the 17" info from? I have the same bike as you, and the stock rear wheel is 16". As Steve says, maybe someone changed your wheel at some point to one from a different model.

          (I implemented the photobucket workaround.)

If "from what I can tell" means you are looking at the tires on your bike, well, then, yes, that is what you need, well, in wheel diameter anyway.

You guys are pros as always. I am WAY to fast to go to the manual when I have a question when I should be going to the bike.. which is made worse by the fact that I literally turned my back on the bike to read the manual on my workbench... I am ashamed. Checked the actual bike and it is indeed a 16" rear. Thank you as always for the sound advice.

Now the bigger question...where should I be hosting my images? Any recommendations - I'm officially DONE with the pbucket.
