    550 to 650 front forks?

I promise I have looked extensively to find an answer to this question.

Have aftermarket Showa k1440 front forks with fat “bobber” type tire.
I am looking to replace with stock but, do not want the “leading” setup.
Can not find a direct replacement, with a reasonable price.
So, are the 550 and 650 interchangeable? I can find the the 550 all day long. And am tired of looking for a reasonably priced 650 front end.
I am looking a a 550 bottom mounted axle, oil filled, fork setup. This is what I want, simple. Need to know if it will fit.

My apologies upfront if I get impatient and go ahead and buy them. I am already starting a “left over pile” to sell on eBay when I am done with this build.

    Thanks,
    Robert

I <think> the 550 and 650 probably have the same forks, but have not verified.

To ensure that you don't get the leading axle, don't look at the "L" model forks.

I’m basically forced to look on eBay, having pictures.
Sticking to the bottom mounted, single disk.
yes, I got impatient and purchased a set last night. :/
We will see come mid month.
I’ll be sure to post update as I looked everywhere for an answer.

I have a set of 650g forks for sale in the "Parts For Sale" section. Hint: We have a parts "Wanted and For Sale" section. 650g forks are 35mm in diameter and dual disc.

I've got a set of 650 forks for sale also in the for sale section and they're single disc as are the stock forks that came on my 82 650gl the difference in the stock forks on my bike and the forks I have for sale are the legs go down past the axle further on the for sale set than the ones on my bike so therefore the speedometer housing I have doesn't fit right because of the cable needing clearance and the ones on my bike are air shocks. Supposedly the forks I have for sale are from an 81 650g very clean outside only thing wrong with them is the cap is stuck in the top of one of them due to it not having a cover on it and me not wanting to fight with it and dust caps need to be replaced. I have no idea what you need but you're more than welcome to message for info i just need to get rid of them since I don't have use for them.
