    Wheel question for gs1100e swingarm

I’m looking for other wheel alternatives for my gs1100e swingarm on my 79 gs1000. I’ve got a 150 tire but the 17x2.5 inch rim is way too small to mount that. Is there other wheels I can drop in without modifications? If I have to modify what would it be? Would also like to to keep with 17 inch wheel. Thanks

If wheel 'spoke' mis match is not an issue, a 1985 or 86 GS 1150 wheel is an easy install. It is 3.5 wide. Suitable for the 150/30 17 tire. Have the wheel on my GS 1100ED. Two modifications: A washer / spacer .200 - .220 or so thick placed outboard of the caliper holder is required as the 1150 hub is a tad narrower than the 1100 hub. Brake caliper stay rod needs to be notched to clear the wider tire. A stay from a Bandit 1200 works well....I have used both.

Awesome thanks a lot! Would the front wheel off of a gs1150 fit in a gs1000 front end?
