Brake pistons 38mm from which model?
I found my GS750 has ~38mm pistons in the front calipers, when the manual says it should be 42,8 mm.
So these calipers seem to come from another model - any idea which?Tags: None

GS calipers came in various types. If you posted up some photos, including some of the pads, that will help us point you in the right direction. Failing that, the OEM parts fishe shows the different calipers, and pads, so you can search out an answer yourself that way. Sounds like you have some later model calipers installed.Last edited by Nessism; 03-02-2019, 02:16 PM.Ed

@Sharpy, it's the genuine Suzuki workshop manual, see the picture.Attached FilesLast edited by Guest; 03-03-2019, 12:22 PM.

This picture shows my calipers, they look precisely like the ones in the manual (and various other sources).
The smaller pistons could have been used in the GS 550 or 400 model.
Unfortunately the workshop manuals of these do not mention the piston diameter as for the 750.

Cool, thanx.
Makes sense also in terms of hydraulic ratio.
You do not happen to have the part no. of the seal ring (#5 in the sketch)?

Ok, that is 69107-05CF0 which supersedes 59107-18410.
Partzilla even shows the size, and it seems to be right: http://ogy.de/gw0q
I'll order this and report again.

That' s the right one.
By the way, the rear (double piston) caliper has the same rings, so for an overhaul of all calipers one needs four of them.
