    GS850g front brake calipers?

    Hi folks.

I have a 78 GS750E with cast wheels and twin brake calipers. Me being such a big heavy lump, I would like to improve the braking just a bit. I have been told that the GS850G front calipers with the square pads, are a direct bolt on replacement for my smaller round pad calipers. Can you experts confirm this please?

Yes those with the square pads fit straight on, use braided lines also.
My bikes 79 GS1000 1085 checked and approved by stator the GSR mascot :eagerness: and 77 GS750 with 850 top end, GS850g, and my eldest sons 78 GS550, youngest sons GS125. Project bike 79 GS1000N

Get a low mileage set and use decent pads, bedded in properly.
      I also use a late 90s NT650V Deaville 5/8" master cylinder.
Two-finger braking you can easily make the front tyre chirp with. If the GS850 wasn't such a heavy brute it would probably do stoppies.

The alternative is the Salty Monk conversion as on here.
