    GS1100GK fork damper rod

    Hello,

It took me a few attempts to remove the fork damper rod bolt on my 1982 GS1100GK.

I had to remove the damper rod because there was a slow oil leak coming from the damper rod bolt. It turned out there was no washer under the bolt, oh well!

After cleaning the damper rod I noticed that towards the bottom of the damper rod, right before the threaded part for the bolt begins, the edges are irregular:

Is this an issue or can I ignore this?

Thank you in advance for your insights.

No worries. Just flush any debris and re-assemble.

Great, thank you! I was wondering, if I was overthinking this.
