Need length of upper fork tubes -- GS1000E vs GS1000L

I crashed my beloved '78 skunk and bent the upper fork tubes! Of course, eBay is the first place I'm turning for replacements... but I see that the offerings are for '81 GS1000L models... the lowers are definitely wrong but I can use the originals. It's the uppers I'm curious about -- the originals are 37mm diameter, but how long are they, and can I swap in the tubes from a GS1000L (also 37mm)?

    Anyone know? Thank you!

According to Wemoto both have the same length stanchions at 595mm:
Suzuki motorcycles and scooters are going from strength to strength. If you own one then look no further than Wemoto to get all your motorcycle parts online.

Thank you, "hh," that's very helpful. And hopeful --easier and cheaper to get salvage "L" stanchions. Fingers crossed.

Thank you, Monk, and Marc, for your offers. I didn't check this thread before I ordered a couple off eBay, though. I appreciate that you are resources for this repair and may contact you for parts and/or advice.

            Regards,
            Adam
