Rear caliper bracket 1979 GS100e

Bought motorcycle without rear pads, loose caliper and seized master cylinder. fixed rear master, caliper pistons move freely. after tightening caliper - rotor is rubbing to inner side of caliper. after installing pads- to tight to turn - disc is rubbing to outer pad pretty bad and on angle. visually bracket is bent, but I doubt because it is solid piece of aluminum, any other possible problems?

Caliper stay is curved, looks fine as far as i can see.

So the pistons move freely, do the brake pads slide easy on the 2 metal pins guiding them ?

What are all those washers on the axle?
Where's the spacer?

Yep Big T looks like you've probably found it. Spacers in the rear got to be right. Just say'in spacers from a cast wheel won't work on a spoked wheel, been there done that.

As mentioned, spacers. Do you have the correct parts and are they assembled in the correct orientation and position? Look in your service manual for how the axle/spacer stack should go together.

So I got better picture, caliper bracket in relation to brake disc is not even.

Looked at schematic and compared to mine. If I will remove shim and install necessary spacer I would not be able to even install bracket it will be so close to rotor. Looks like someone did bearing before and assembled it wrong and was trying to fix it with shims.

If some one could take pictures of his gs1000 on both sides of hub bearing, so I could see what is wrong.

Also...be sure the bolts holding it to the carrier dont stick out past the inner side of the carrier.

Looks like previous owner replaced bearings and something went wrong, so he decided to put shims to center bracket somehow.

Need to disassemble everything to check what wrong.

you should have everything in the picture of the axle above and in that order. the price on that one is cheaper than buying seperate parts with shipping charges...i think.
