Gs1000 / 850 forks
Hi, are the aluminium fork leg bottoms on the gs1000 the same as the Gs850. The reason I ask is I may have a lead on a fork brace that is on a gs1000 to get for my 850.The big guy up there rides a Suzuki (this I know)

Should fit, yep.
I played mix and match with 1000 lowers and legs to fit the 850 (ended up 19mm shorter than stock, which is actually quite good), at the end of which I fitted a fork brace that was languishing on a set of 1000 or 1100 L legs that need totally rebuilt, so refurbished the Telefix brace on them and it's now on the 850 / 1000 forks.---- Dave

Except for the engine (obvious), there are only very minor details that are different between the '80/'81 850G and 1000G.
Similarly, there are also those very few differences in the '82/'83 850G and 1100G.
