A car brake-checked me 6 months ago.I was able to ride away with minimal damage to myself and the little Honda.I slammed into the guy's right-rear corner of the bumper cover of his Infinity 50 causing his car damage:my insurance is going to increase now.That little drum brake front wheel wasn't up to the task and a powerful disc front brake has now been installed to the 200cc Honda.

The car I hit sustained damage to his right side rear bumper.My damage was scratches on my left fork tube 'lower' which was the main contact point although the Infinity's rear bumper absorbed all of it so i was able to drive away w/o bent parts.
My back needed a few adjustments by the chiropractor,a couple visits:I braced my arms for the impact and hit the car just right,a no-win scenario but I was able to get through it unscathed. Yes,Lesson Learned.
I trusted the cars in front of me but shouldn't have;the entire line of them jammed their brakes on and I was 60 feet away from the Infinity

"I trusted the cars in front of me", "You" can't do that. The cars in front of you care nothing about you nor your brakes. "You" need to know what "Your" limits are. It was "Your" responsibility to know "Your" little drum brake couldn't stop you in 60', "You" should have allowed more space. I may be a little late on this post but a set of tires for $200? Used sure but huge risk. Also after searching for a while the only website that seems to have Pirelli sport demon set is Chaparral. Metzeler is also a good brand but also hard to find.
BTW I'm running 100/90/19 front 130/90/17 rear Sport Demons.Last edited by P09luis; 04-09-2022, 07:52 AM.

I like the Bridgestone BT-46 which I chose very much and well worth the $.

I have a Bridgestone Battle Axe on the rear and the Avon on the front. I thought I didn't like the Avon, but it really has grown on me, and does everything I want it too. Not enough choices to be too picky. From what I've read, the GS1100 tires will bolt right up and give a wider choice of front tires, but I don't know if other modifications have to be done. I'm happy enough with the bike stock, and at least the limited tire choices are decent tires.

The more I think of it,a change from the stock 16" to a 17" front wheel would make it a less radical change.

I'm not sure of the model, it may have been the GS1150, but that also came with a 16" rim, but the rim was wider, front and rear. I have seen pictures of these conversions, but they never say if they changed the swing arm and front end, from which I understand bolt right up to the GS750ES. I'm happy enough with my bike that I don't want to change it, and my ZZR1200 satisfies the need for a bigger bore bike.Last edited by Suzukian; 10-30-2022, 05:42 PM.
