I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Need a recommendation or assist on the mechanical support near Hillsboro Ohio 45133.

I can do most basics on a GS. Occasionally I run into things I just can't solve. I miss something or make a mistake at times and need another's eyes. For instance: I have a GS450 which seems to be leaking from the head or intake by having a hang idle after warm and coming to a stock. I have a...

1998 gsf600s bandit carb fuel inlet joint

The Tee in the carbs is a 1 piece item. no o-rings on this bike. The carbs had been dry for months. After sitting in fuel the Tees swelled and sealed. For now I'm going to let it sit. I have a few more things to get done before it can be ridden. Thanks Nessism RR

    Gs500F topend on Gs450 1982 bottom end

I used stock GS500 pistons and jug. GS500 base and cruizin image head gaskets. I just got the bike running this weekend. I have had a stock 450 and the franken 450/500 running side by side and the 450/500 sounds like it has significantly more pressure. I don't think I'll get the 450/500 done...

1983 GS700es parts for topend rering job

I am starting the process of gathering parts for a gs700es topend rebuild. Would anyone have good interchange information for the bike? Is the gaskets and rings specific to the GS700 only? THanks RR

1998 gsf600s bandit carb fuel inlet joint

I have picked up a bandit 600. After I cleaned the carbs the inlet joint piece on the left side was leaking. It looks like it is leaking from the o-rings. suzuki P/N 1368526E40 I'm not familiar with this bike at all. I've done a search on google, eBay and even a couple out of USA shop sites...

GS450T head gasket leak... any recommended sealer

Good morning GS team; I'm working on an GS450T. I've had the block and head decked, new gaskets. After a short time on cylinder started leaking when hot. It seems the head gasket didn't fully seal on 1 cylinder. I'll be rechecking flatness on both head and block. Since I'm tearing it back...

GS1100L 4 valve rebuild vendors and thoughts on my investigation

The cams have r1 on both and measure about 34.4mm top to bottom of lobe. I believe they are later gsxr or gsxf cams.... maybe not.??? Could you define an " Italian tuneup"? On the further inspection i dont think the crank is the actual the problem. I checked the timing crank end tonight...

GS1100L 4 valve rebuild vendors and thoughts on my investigation

I've seen several 2 valve cams but only a few 4 valve sets. The last 4 valves were ~15 years ago. These cams are not the typical egg shape. The bike has UNI pod filters with a jet kit. I will have to open the carbs back up to look at the jet #s. I know they aren't stock. I believe it is a 6...

GS1100L 4 valve rebuild vendors and thoughts on my investigation

Over the past week I broke out my old 1980 GS1100L chain 4 valve to finally get it running right. I bought the bike and let it sit for 2-3 years in the garage as a nostalgia purchase. My 1st bike was a 1979 gs1000l. Mods: dyna S ignition system with NGK plug wires and plugs. Cams say R1 on them...

    Gs500F topend on Gs450 1982 bottom end

I found the post in another forum and it appears the author used GS450 Head gasket rather than the 500. The 500 is ~.011" vs .044" for the 450. On cruizinimage they offer a big bore 450 gasket which I ordered to get a better diameter for the oversize pistons. Assumming the 500 and 450 base...

1982 gs450 valve guide replacements --- machinist, cylinder head suggestions

I have an 82 gs450T which I found had 2 bad valve guides and 1 exhaust with some play. I ordered all 4 NOS units from ebay. I bought new circlips, 7mm driver and had a Machine shop ream the guides. The intakes I used an air hammer with a 7mm driver to remove the guides. 1 cracked some pieces...
