    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    [1982 GS750T] - New Speedo Cable Needed...

I couldn't find anything. Happy to bring something if someone else here has one but you'll need to get it sent to me quick. There are ones available on US EBay (incl NOS OEM) but also looks like the UK Ebay has a decent selection too. That would be cheaper for you (10-15 quid it looks like) if...

The clymer manual has some tests for an igniter (or at least the 80 1000G did). Mine was the simpler box as it has mechanical advance but those tests showed it was bad....

What model GS1000 do I have?

No some of the 1100E's had a leading axle fork, maybe 750 too but in general you're right. :)

I learnt to write that way when communicating with my team overseas who have ESL (English second language). Helps make sure nothing gets missed in my experience. I do feel there is a difference to reading on screen vs a page, especially now a lot is read on a tiny phone screen. Know your...

    [1982 GS750T] - New Speedo Cable Needed...

Maybe Motion pro can help.... The cables are not as good as OEM in general but they work. Not sure if they do a Suzuki speedo. https://www.motionpro.com/c/cables I guess I might have a stock used one kicking around that could work if you tell me the length. I'm coming over to the UK this...

Re. OEM coils - You have to try it and see. Sometimes you get lucky with getting the wires out. I have a 50/50 success rate personally. A lot of "carb" issues are ignition related. On my 1000G I chased a problem for ages before realising the Ignitor was the issue. A Dyna S later the problem was...

    2007 VStar 650 - 3800 miles, shaft drive, needs a new home

Have you tried it from the renting out PoV Brian? I’ve loosely talked about doing it with a friend before (he lives in Half Moon Bay so potentially we could offer one way Los Angeles to San Francisco which I guess would be fairly unique).

    2007 VStar 650 - 3800 miles, shaft drive, needs a new home

Not our usual kind of bike but it is Japanese! 2nd or 3rd owner of this is a good friends mother. She used to come over from the UK & ride it about once or twice a year for a week or so & then it would go back in the garage full of fuel with stabil in it & mostly sit (unless I took it out for a...

Yes Racetch still has springs. You might struggle to find MC parts - note KL ones usually don't work on these.... Try to find OEM. :)

It looks like Jeff might take it (prev from Wi now in Washington). I will keep you posted. He wants to put it on an MG Midget. I have no qualms about you putting it on a lawnmower but seems like it might be a bit big & heavy.... I have another one from a Husky you could also look at, much more...
