A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Tire Mounting/Balancing Service... Thoughts and Opinions.

Nope. Couldn't get over about 85-90 without lots of vibration. Tossed the tube with the beads, installed new tube with static balance and was good at all speeds

Ask Chat GPT to roast your town, this is fairly accurate......

It's pretty shitty place to be so tell everyone to stay away. Too damn many immigrants ......from Fernie. Cranbrook is the Kootenays’ bustling retail hub, known for big-box stores and an airport. Sadly, it serves mostly as a place people pass through on their way to ski in Fernie or relax in...

    This one’s got me stumped

WooHoo Vince. Had a similar thing a few years ago. After dicking around for quite some time I pulled the carbs and found the poorly tighten main jet sitting in the bottom of the float bowl.

    This one’s got me stumped

Switch around the coil trigger wires and plug wires so that the coil firing 2/3 now fires 1/4 and visa versa. If the problem stays on 4 then you know it's not an ignition problem.

Mystery of the Wandering Idle SOLVED! [Mine at least]

I had my GS1000 doing the same thing last summer, except mine would only increase rhe idle a bit. All I did was stretched the spring as it had collapsed over the years. Only bummer was the easiest way to do it was to pull the carbs.

THIS is a big step forward

When I was in Australia a few years ago they were kicking around this very idea. I'm not sure anything came of it but evidently it had huge support from all age groups especially the younger group. As for the slippery slope of government control, the government has been taxing and restricting...

So. ..... you're actually hoping that the new wife works too. LOL.

    Official Cannabis warning

Ya. We need a label on everything, surprised we don't have drowning hazard labels on bottled water. At least pot is somewhat legal here.

    How our world is changing

Wow. I thought we already had micro chips implanted with the Covid vaccines. Ever since I've had my Covid shots my Tacoma starts by itself as soon as I get close to it. Highly convenient if I do say so.

    It's about time! (Pun intended)

The western states have been talking about this after we started the conservation several years ago so after waiting and waiting we decided to just do it. Hopefully they'll follow our lead. Alberta, the province next to us is now considering no longer moving their clocks back and forth as well.

    Rip off or not?

Sounds like excessive time. How long was it since you left the bike and they phoned you? Sounds like you had a really long lunch.

Out for short drive and walk yesterday and bumped into this herd of Elk grazing in the outskirts of town. This is about 1/2 of the herd and counting the ones that weren't in the photo the herd would be about 200. 20260213_142029-Pano.jpg by soates50, on Flickr

    Gauge bulbs

Something to think about. BA9S is the correct base and stock are 3.4 watt. I found the instrument lights too bright for extended night driving so replaced all mine with 1.5W (IIRC) except for the oil, neutral and turn signal warning lamps.

    Hard to believe

Very sad and devastating. I don't know why snub nose school buses aren't mandatory in all school districts. Our district gradually replaced all long nose buses with snub nose buses something like 40 years ago. Those convex mirrors help but objects in them are tiny and you just can't see anyone...
