    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Postings to the For Sale and Wanted sections will be deleted 90 days after the initial posting date if there has been no activity to the thread in the last 7 days. This is done to eliminate dead posts from the forum.

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Im in need of 2 mixture screws for 1982 GS850 CV carbs please...... Im not seeing them on the parts fiche. Or if anyone has the part number i can put in ebay search id appreciate it.

Are there any part numbers or jet size stamped on it? If you could take a pic of the carb it came from, I might have one.

They dont have numbers on them. Bike they came off is a 82 850g. Same screw for BS 32 and 34 far as i know.
 
Can you send a pic of the carb and location? I have a few extra carb sets and want to see what you need.
 
Located on top of carb rear. May be a plug with a punch mark over them. rill a small hole through the plug being careful not to hit the screws and mess up the slot. Twist a drywall screw in the hole and yank plugs out to expose the screws. I would lie the entire assembly.. screws, spring and the tiny metal washer that goes between spring and oring as seen here.

Hey Chuck,
I dug out one of the screws, it was not buried under a plug. Here is what one looks like. There are no washers or O-rings inside the hole.
These are from a second set of carbs I received in a box of parts. They may be from a GS750. Let me know if you want them.

The o-ring and washer usually stay in the hole. Hard to see that they are still in there. Take a paper clip and bend a little tiny "L" at the end to pick them out.
 
Those needles may have started out as the correct style but im thinking someone along the way had tried to do some sort of fix.

There are two different styles of those needles, depending on your carbs. I have the same ones you have Chuck.
