A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Borderline, I considered riding my CBR, but after a drive for auto parts and grocery store, the roads were too salty. I don't want road salt all over my bike and chain. With the temps all the way up to 30, I'll be disassembling my GPz engine for removal from the frame. Looks like 30 labor hours...

    Looking good! New GSX 8tt

That Yamaha XRS900 Gp is a good looking bike, but the cost is about double ($22,049) what Suzuki is asking for the GSX 8tt ($11,149). I won't be nailed for anything over $3000.

    The American Revolution

I was very appalled learning about Washington's order to destroy all native peoples and their villages across New York. Genocide as we call it today. And he Washington invested in reselling land cleared of native peoples to enrich himself.

Loyalists and rebels did live side by side at the beginning of hostilities. Less and less as exposure to war impacted their local lives.

    The American Revolution

I've read a few books about the war, even a memoir of Washington's retreat from Brooklyn all the way up the Hudson. This series is the first I heard they were also suffering a smallpox epidemic. omg… A friend of mine when I lived in NYC 77-79, talked about how they drained the pond In Prospect...

    1985 Kawasaki GPz750 needs refresh

After thinking about how the engine was behaving before I pushed it to just over 8,000RPM, then it lost power continuously until it quit, and now has a rod knock. I think it had low oil pressure and was doomed to fail soon. Where would I put an oil pressure gauge on this engine? I ordered an...

Looking like a pretty good series. Troops in the cities echos today. The class society is repulsive, another echo of today.

Yikes! Figured it meant splitting the case. The sound is a really loud knock, and seems to be coming from #2 cylinder in the case. I will have to open it up for a look see. With winter coming on my garage will be too cold to work, even with a heater. The reason this bike looks in fine shape on...

Something hinky with GS1100E starter or starter clutch?

Replace the upper yoke, worked for my 82 1100G. It fell off my trailer as I turned left, front wheel was lashed to a steel chuck. I had to drag it to the side of the road with it still lashed. I thought I would have to replace the forks, plus the upper and lower yoke. I could see the twist in...
