A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    FUEL T SEALS

This is the T on the 94 GSX-R750 carb fiche. I am curious if these would work on the shrunk up molded Ts that are leaking. My thought was cut off the molded on rubber and replace with the seals on the now exposed metal core. Item #14 on the fiche...

    LH Carburetor Body

The lip serves 2 purposes. First it holds and centers the gasket so ypu dont have to hold it lined up and try to install a bowl. Second it lines up the bowls. The gasket is PINCHED BETWEEN the bodys flat surface ( with the raised area running around it ) and the bowls flat surface. The lip has...

If the smoke clears off after a while and then returns after it has sat a while, that is indicative of valve stem seals leaking. Do a compression check with the throttle wide open. See what those are. If relatively high in the 125 to 150 range rings are considered ok. Contrary to what others...

That one will still trap the gasket and seal until you can replace it

    Valve Guide Seals

Unless your getting the tell all sign of smoke at start up that clears off in a few minutes i would just leave it alone till they're actually showing they need it. Try cruzinimages or sirius consolidated for seals

    New to the site!

What needs to get done first is evaluate both engines. My deal we talked about on the carbs stand. I would get a reliable set of carbs on the 850 and run it to burn all the crap out of the pipes and then see about the smoke like we talked about on the phone. And do a compression check on both...

brass nipple on carb 3. You should have VM carbs. Number 2 carb pertains to CV carbs. Other two nipples are bowl vents. Do not block them off. Run a vacuum line from them up and over the sides of the airbox.
