DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    81 GS1100E brake hoses.

Correct, it's just the front for that price.

    81 GS1100E brake hoses.

This took some searching because it's listed as GSX. I had previously found some for my Laverda, and the prices are good, $109 plus free shipping for the GS ain't bad at all, IMO. The MogoGPwerks shop is amazing, I may have to go up and have another gander at all the goodies and bikes there...

    1974 Laverda 3C

Not anodized, a bit of Mother's polish shows that. Similar to my Norton, the metal seems to be one notch above the same era Japanese. But the castings are prehistoric on the Norton. The Laverda seems a combo of the best of the two. The Ceriani fork lowers, engine cases, etc are so good. I need...

    1974 Laverda 3C

Removing the 20+ year old hardened tires off the beautiful, 99% unscarred Borrani wires. My method is to make some cuts with a reciprocating 'Sawzall' saw, medium-coarse blade, stopping short of the rim of course. then hand-saw a bit to get real close. I put a guard on the rim (a large washer...

    1974 Laverda 3C

Some cool footage of a 3C at Spa, not sure the speeds as his speedo cable broke. Skip to about 6:30, couldn't make the link that starts at that point.

And footpegs too, which I appreciate.

    1974 Laverda 3C

My son's a riot, I needed his help holding a light as I was removing some part, and once again, he's on his phone. I said "put the GD phone down for once." Next thing I know, I hear Dean Martin singing "That's Amore" from his phone. Got a good laugh.

    1974 Laverda 3C

Pretty sure it's the other side of the pie, 7500 RPM. Has loads of mid-range grunt.

    1974 Laverda 3C

I got this '74 Laverda 3C (1000cc triple) locally, very complete and original, just sat for 20 years. It has extremely good paint, chrome, and stainless. Just needs a full going over. 12.7K miles on it. It was originally purchased by a female airline pilot (titled as a '75 but it was built in...

I'll do that soon. Teaser - there will be Suzuki content.

    Cheap, but good, derusting sauce

I've been using this, and wow, it's really good stuff. It doesn't degrade plating (as long as you don't soak parts for hours), gets the rust off as well as anything I've used, and is mild - no real vapors and you can dunk your bare hand in as long as you rinse off. And it lasts far longer. I mix...

Clean but mis-ID'd "81" 1000E skunk for $2,500, Socal. Nice price if legit.

You don't like fairings, but I'll post it anyway.

I'd be all over it if I hadn't just boiught my dream bike.

Other pics show it if you scroll through. Not sure who makes that fairing but it looks high quality (Krauser?) and could get a few bucks.

I sorta like finding a nice bike with an ugly fairing, it's easy to remove and discard, and may dissuade some potential buyers.

Clean but mis-ID'd "81" 1000E skunk for $2,500, Socal. Nice price if legit. Too many bikes, or I'd go check this out - no more room! Dude sounds like Jack Black in the video. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1965336024049007/

    Cheap, but good, derusting sauce

Yes, for a Suzuki. The Laverda I'm doing has only a threaded spigot. The fuel tap has a reverse threaded nut so it draws up to the nut on the tank nice and snug. So simple.

    Cheap, but good, derusting sauce

I plan to try this out on my new/old Laverda. I have tried a sample of the Deox-C expensive stuff (which is citric acid-based), from a friend. It's pretty amazing, outperforming acids like Kleen Strip in every way. I got a packet of silicone rubber multi-colored plugs off Amazon some time ago...

Gonna check out a Laverda 3C (1L triple) tomorrow. Excited.

Oh, here's a pic when I got it home, waiting for my son to help roll it off, as I was a bit nervous (and tired), and there's no front brake, which helps on a ramp. The Lafranconi silencers are extremely scarce and in super good shape. I've seen them listed for half the price of what I paid for...

Gonna check out a Laverda 3C (1L triple) tomorrow. Excited.

Stripped the 3 Dell'Orto 32mm carbs, they were completely gunked up, 20 years with petcocks on (not a vacuum system). My chem dip didn't do a thing so I figured it was past its prime and got a fresh gallon. That did the trick, but the center one was still locked up, so I heated the body up to...
