A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    just fyi on uni pods

What filters did you take off the bike? It's not the filters causing your problem. It just needs jetted properly. Yes, individual filters will take longer to get right than an airbox. If your willing to spend the time, you can jet K&N's Uni's or even open velocity stacks correctly. Here's...

    Soda Blaster

I bought a small hand held one at Harbor Freight that does pretty decent for small stuff.. Need a bigger one though.. FYI: Environmentally friendly, but it will kill your grass outside because it screws up the pH of the soil for a while... I did some rims and can assure you that 10lbs of...

What part of NC are you coming too? That would make a big difference on what roads I could recommend. My work takes me to VA, MD & PA quite often so I might be able to help with some advice if I know what part of NC your heading too. Willie, you won't get a lot of argument on that from me...

    Shooting video on my GS1000

I've used AVS4U for HD video & it works well. You can edit and get it back into 1080P, which some programs don't seem to like to do. Also lets you save in about any format you want. BTW, it comes with full suite of image, video & music editing software. I think I paid $59...

    Need the BIG bore guru's

Nah, seems like that's the common path... I want to build a big 8V because nobody does it anymore. ;) I'm not out to build a race motor & making it streetable will present a challenge, but I'll have fun with it. Plus, I've already got a set of 79mm JE pistons, rings & a sleeved block with...

    Motorcycle stolen and wrecked

I just changed from State Farm to Nationwide because they were willing to provide stated values for both my GS & KZ. The cost was less than actually less than putting collision on them & there's no deductible. They would cover the 77 GS750 to $2500 & my 82 KZ1100 to $5000. By comparison...

    Planning a 1270 Street motor

Well, based on everyone's comments, this should be a pretty easy build...Heck, just like a stocker, huh???:) LMAO. Really, it sounds like I have a lot of sorting out to do. I completely understand the responses that going the 16V route is the easiest way to make power and I'd agree...

    WiredGeorge - Jet block repair

It's the threads that hold the emulsion tube & ultimately the main jet in place. I think it would need to be exactly right, otherwise the the main jet may be located to high or low in the bowl or the jet needle will won't fall back into the correct location. The threads for the little screw...

Three of them to do. Might as well do the fourth. I don't have the tools to do this right & am concerned I couldn't put the seat in the correct location. Probably not a big deal for skilled machinist.
