A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Carb "Farts" on #1 cylinder

Number one cylinder "farts" intermittently. Technically, I suppose it is a backfire, not flame source present. Since I run only velocity stacks, I can actually see a fuel mist exit the carb. Only #1 cyl does it, so I do not think it is ignition related. Typically it does it at idle and...

?77 GS750 with a couple of different noises and oil problems

The PO had work done, but how long ago... Check the valves and have a look at things. A little PM will go a long way in reducing any nervousness you might have about the top end. Since you just got her, and unless you are sure when work was done, it's always a good idea to establish your...

Gas tank stripping, inside and outside

I dumped a bottle of Acetone inside the tank and dissolved all the previous owners attempts at using tank sealer. Much of it came out in goopy strings the first go around, so I washed again with another bottle. After that I sent it to a radiator shop, had everything boiled out if it and...

    Cold air/pods

Air temps, regardless of whether you have pods, airbox, or even velocity stacks are going to have an effect on the mixture. Cold air is more dense than warm air, thus your mixture is going to be more lean in colder temps. I used to fiddle around with jetting during winter months when most of...

    Tracy body ??

How much do these usually cost? I found a pretty decent one that I think is from an earlier year than the blue one drhermanstein was using in his old thread. The one I am looking at has cutout area for a round tail light and is currently setting on a 77 -78'ish KZ. It looks like it would fit my...

    Ethenol in the gas

A 10 percent ethanol-blended gasoline [E-10] contains only 97 percent of the energy of pure gasoline, this is partially compensated for by the improved combustion efficiency of the ethanol-gasoline blend that the added ethanol provides. Overall, use of E-10 increases fuel consumption by an...
