I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

    Yosh Race Pistons: 2V 1000?

I learned a little more from the PO on the "Yosh style" piston that started this thread. At first, it was thought to have been from Murdoch Engineering, but the ebayer looked into it more and feels they are more likely from Moriwaki Engineering. As he has used those as well. Back in the day...

Why are there fewer left side covers for sale?

I use the stainless Allen head too. On each side of the grommet, I have a thin washer about the same diameter. It's bolted tight to the frame. The grommet cannot come out.

    Yosh Race Pistons: 2V 1000?

Good thought. I might have to consider talking to them about that on my "FleaBay, I sure hope they work" pistons

Why are there fewer left side covers for sale?

Could be more drops when guys forget to put the kickstand down and loose their balance getting off. Bike might fall to the left more often. Mine has a bolt & washer that goes thru the grommet at bottom. I don't understand how they could come off to begin with.

    Hi Performance engine coatings (internals)

I know that the Bekaert product is an entirely different process (ie: non ceramic) and based on our sputtering technology. Sputtering is bombardment of the substrate (whatever your coating) with ions and then impregnating the special coating into (not onto) the material. Probably part of the...

    Hi Performance engine coatings (internals)

HPC said much of their work is headers & said there are performance gains from doing so. You did see a performance gain with the headers and it's not all bling?

    Yosh Race Pistons: 2V 1000?

So, If I wanted 73.5mm pistons an 11.25:1 cr cut for 1mm os valves, or say, I wanted the largest piston I could get into a stock block (bored and sleeved of course), then you could whip up a set of 76 or 77mm pistons with a 9.5:1 cr for our bikes? (or whatever it was that fit) Basically all a...

    Hi Performance engine coatings (internals)

The company I work for Bekaert, is a world leader in coating technology. One of our divisions specializes in advanced coatings (Cavidur) which nearly all F1, DTR and many Nascar teams use on engine internals. Unfortunately, we don't apply the coatings here in the US and were too big of a...

    Downloaded manual legality ?

Come on guys, I thought everyone had the shop manual memorized by now? Personally, I prefer putting the laptop inside a clear dry cleaning bag when I have to use it in the garage. Just leave a hole around the fan on the bottom

    Yosh Race Pistons: 2V 1000?

Good thought on the copies, even if I had them add a third ring. Sure, it'd be nice to have some brand new. lightweight pistons in there, but the whole point of buying these was to see if I could snag a deal. If they're nice and For $50 bucks, I should be able to spend a little extra on pins...

    Yosh Race Pistons: 2V 1000?

I was sortof iffy on buying them but thought $50 bucks might be worth a shot. I could not find any stating Yosh didn't have Murdoch make the pistons & the best picture I could find of the Yosh piston showed only two ring grooves on their race piston, but another showed three ring grooves on the...

    Yosh Race Pistons: 2V 1000?

I just won these on fleabay. They are a set of Yosh race pistons & look exactly like the one's pictured in the Yosh Superbike article written by Ulrich, but are o/s at 73mm, compared to Cooley's bike with a 70mm bore. The specs on the superbike say a CR of 11.5:1, but these valve recesses are...

    wall mart oil filter

I thought this link gives a good overview of a number of different filters. Nothing scientific, but this guy spent a lot of time cutting down filters & evaluating them. Interesting seeing the filter element in many of the spin on filters look like our cartridges. I guess that's a bonus - we...

    gs 1000 overbore kits

tone, okay, I thought you were taking an either/or type position on the head work vs a BB kit. As I understood what you were saying, was that I was better off to spend the money on head work rather than do the BB conversion. I agree that additional head work would produce better results, but I...
