A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Planning a 1270 Street motor

How much trouble do you think I am getting myself into building a 1270cc 8V motor for the street? Pulled in a like new 1270 block & JE piston kit, and figured I'd do a little mild work to a small port head & some mild cams. I'm looking for bottom end & mid-range, not revs. Can I keep the engine...

It's a good thing that pun wasn't intentional... I don't mind not getting it, now. Most of us around here are quick enough to catch the intentional puns;)

    Totaled GS550es

When I spoke to my insurance company about full coverage on the 82 KZ1100 I restored, they told me something like 1600 bucks would total it. I didn't really matter to them if it was perfect or just an old bike. Had to negotiate that for awhile with them and ended up coming to an agreement of...

    asphalt cement crack sealer

Sounds like "Tar Snakes", or at least what we called them. Thin streams of tar filling the asphalt cracks? Yep...Spent a few days on them in the N GA mountains a couple years ago, but I see them all over. Had the front end skating out continually in the twisties... LOL freaked me out for a...

    cam journal cap repair

Thanks guys.. I figured a Heli-coil would do, but I thought I might use a Time Sert, but the starter kit for them is about $60. If a Heli coil works fine, then that's what I'll go with

    LED turning lights swap

You need to install load equalizers in order to provide enough resistance and "trick" the flasher unit into functioning. LED's don't provide enough resistance. When I bought them, they were about $5 each. I needed on for each side. They just spice into your signals + wire and connect to...

It's a soft date... I am currently restoring a GPZ1100 and should it finished and I'll be in the midst of building an 8V 1100 for 'zuk. I figure, by 12/15, the current motor will have seen its final ride.
