A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    VM carb rebuild question

ditto, but mine don't fit real tight and still don't leak. If I leave the carbs sit empty, either on or off the bike, then fill them with fuel, they drip for about five minutes, then stop.. Figuring that out took months... I'd pull the carbs to rejet and maybe not get them back on right...

Engine Paint - PJ1, VHT, or POR 15?

Harley Davidson brand if you are looking for black. They have a flat crinkle black that is amazingly durable. I've left it flat black or sometimes finish it a light coat of clear engine paint to give it a glossier look I wish I knew who's paint it actually was

    Yosh Race Pistons: 2V 1000?

Yea, I lucked out, but that goes to show that you need to list things right on ebay. Now, about those CP's.. do you work there??

cutting off the passenger peg mounts

I cut mine and left a little bit of the lower tubes, so I could connect a brace between them. Mounted in the center of the brace is a rubber bumper for the centerstand to rest against.

    Yosh Race Pistons: 2V 1000?

I did finally speak to Total Seal. They could have made dykes rings for without a problem, I just needed to send them a piston. They quoted me $150 for four sets (compression & oil rings) I ended up listing the pistons on ebay. This time correctly as KZ pistons and they sold for $157, so in...

    gs1000 forks onto 750?

Here's the thread from when I swapped out my 77 with an 1100EZ. Double check the bearing sizes, or confirm the triple tree was the same between the 1000 & the 1100EZ I used, but I just ordered tapered bearings from All Balls and had no issue. However, I did have to grind off the steering stop...

    POR-15 and a gas tank

Have you tried this? How were your results? I've used it on a number of nuts, bolts, etc, and had excellent results. Even after sitting in the open air, no rust has returned. I was so happy I figured it would easily take care of light silty rust in my tank, so I bought five quarts of if and...

    Yosh Race Pistons: 2V 1000?

I never really looked. I tried to call TotalSeal twice, but never got to speak to anyone. After that, I decided to go ahead and try to sell them. I really want to do something other than the standard Wiseco 1085 kit with this build, but keep it a street bike, well, mostly a street bike. :)...

SO MANY rear shock threads what options other than progressive

I have Work's Performance rear shocks, & Work's dual-rate front springs on my Triumph. They completely changed the bike & I love them, but they can get expensive. The main advantage is that they are built specifically for you based on your bike, riding style, weight, etc.... Being 275lbs...

    Yosh Race Pistons: 2V 1000?

Well, their on ebay now.. I was considering claying the head and figuring out how the valve pockets were going to look, but I can't do that until after I bore the block, so it would have been just another delay to a project I already wanted to have started in June...
