A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

what did you wrench on today??

We had a rainy day here, so I spent it in the garage. Swapped the front tire for a new Pilot Power 2CT. Only took me 4 hours. Seems I wear the left side more than the right on all my bikes.

Aluminum belly pan catches the drips. Track was cold with new sealer, I felt some slip on the front. Yikes, 3 people had low sides, 2...

Any concerns being new to the track with a gs550es?

Well, you're gonna be in the slowest group. They're not gonna like any oil drips, you may not pass tech for that. When everybody else is given free time in the afternoon, you'll have to be lead around by a coach and held up so other bikes can pass. Kinda like you're a special education kid in...

    Carburetor rebuilding

I think you should advertise you will take on all brands and makes of carbs, from all vehicles. Not as daunting as it sounds. So many duffs have old cars and trucks collecting dust because they're clueless about carbs.

Rain Barrel Plumbing - Any fluid engineers in the house?

Whatever your end use is, you may drop a small pump in there. I sometimes drop a portable sump pump with a garden hose attached into my rain barrels for watering my raised beds. Sometimes in a hot dry spell the barrel water becomes anaerobic, so I drop the pump in without the hose, just to...

Valve oil seals & the rope trick - any detailed guide on disassembly order?

For my 1100G, I decided it was better to take the head off and do much more: de carbon chambers & piston tops, replace a few worn valves & lap them all in, some mild porting, and shim replacements.

I've become a fan of Moto3. Love the small engines, light weight and narrow tires. The bikes are so equal, overtakes are constant. I'm reminded of the Dunlop family dominating 125 & 250cc Irish road races. (Click on: Watch on youtube)
