DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

2020 MotoGP - The Official Thread (Warning!! Spoilers!!!)

OK, so interesting to re read this thread and see the predictions that were made 9 or so months ago. Who could've predicted what happened this year though, even though it's been really good racing but weird not seeing anyone in the stands, except for the two Misano races in Italy, they allowed...

Bottom Engine bolt near Oil Filter

Yes item number 44 for bolt and 45 for washer, (there are two of each, each side of the filter). From the part number it looks like it's 14mm bolt, (maybe 13mm long ??) but not sure on the thread pitch. The washers are probably a special type to seal and are intended to be single use usually...

Bottom Engine bolt near Oil Filter

Parts are available from Suzuki. https://www.partsoutlaw.com/oemparts/a/suz/50d403b3f8700230d8b4eb6d/crankcase Hopefully it's just stripped, if so Helicoil or Timesert repair would be suitable. If you have any more questions once you know more about what the issue is, just ask. David. BTW...

    Mikuni BS Carb Rebuild

They are awesome, but it takes a while to figure out the secret sauce, most people will not disclose their concoction who charge for carb rebuilds but there is a good thread on here about buying and using ultrasonic cleaners. I always pre-clean whatever I put into the unit so I don't...

    Mikuni BS Carb Rebuild

I don't think Berrymans is available in Canada so I bought some in Bellingham, it works OK but as Steve suggested it takes a while, never found it be be that effective. Instead I now use an ultrasonic cleaner and it works awesome, just watch what chemicals you use as anything too caustic will...

    1980 GS450s with 2,037 miles

Welcome to the GSR forum. Check the spark plug caps, they unscrew from the wire, clip off about 1/4" of wire and reinstall, also check the resistor in the cap, sometimes they get corroded and prevent the spark from getting to the plug. BTW that is a nice bike with mini fairing, quite sort...

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

I went out on the weekend with both my sons, rode out to Harrison Lake and saw no less than a few hundred bikes out, some in groups of 6-8 riders. The weather was spectacular, bright sunny day and around 18C. (64F) That was a lot of essential travel.

POR 15 Sealer not well enough mixed before put in the tank

Jorgeno, you should be fine with what you have got there, but leave it for 4-5 days to fully cure if you have build-up in the tank. I have done quite a few tanks in my time and it's a very time consuming job, you also get better the more you do, well I did anyway. Things to note: As obvious...

How to Polish Raw Magnesium and Aluminum

    how important is this part?

My thoughts on those are they are needed, but the bike would probably run OK without them if your carb rack fits nicely. If the airbox pulls on the carbs when tightened up it could pull the boots out of place and cause an air leak. They are not that expensive so why not buy from Suzuki? Making...

    Rotors 80 GS1000S

Trevor, don't forget to try ebay.UK as well, plenty of airbox stuff on there as well. If you need the clamps for the rubber boots from airbox to carb, buy the ones for the GL model as they still have the proper machine threads not just self tapper screws made from cheese, part number 4 X...

    GS550 - reinstalling the engine

Before you install the lower left engine bolt that connects to the triangle shaped nut, ensure the bolt is not too long and does not touch the engine case after it goes through the nut as it'll punch a hole into the case, I know of what I speak unfortunately. Good luck with your wrenching. David.
