A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Unless the host server can be cleaned and bots eradicated this is most likely what its gonna be like going forward. Just gonna have to get use to it.

    Rusted seat hinge renovation ish

45 percent vinegar at Lowes eats rust very well. I would just wire wheel easy trinkets like the hinges and paint with Rustoleum Epoxy Appliance paint from Walmart. I use the same paint on frames.

    Tinting Caswell Tank Liner.

All seems well so I mixed a batch and did my 1986 Ninja 600R tank. Original tank developed characteristic bubbles from gas leaks so i tested the parts bike tank and it didnt leak full of water over a 24 hour period. Probably didnt need a liner but i was gonna be on the safe side and do it.

Method for putting on pin stripe glueable decals

Once squeegeed in position GENTLY pad water away. Dont wipe as it may move the decals instructions as some say let dry for 24 hours. I always let them dry regardless. At that point your safe to clean surfaces for clear. You can also do a first coat of clear before doing decals as a protective...

    Tinting Caswell Tank Liner.

As of this morning it was hard and very close to what POR 15 looks like. Ill take a good piece off it tomorrow and set it in gas for a day or two. Tomorrow morning will be 48 hours cure time so that should be sufficient curing time.

    Tinting Caswell Tank Liner.

Got the epoxy tint today. It says paste but its actually a liquid in a squeeze bottle. Did a test with just half a teaspoon of Caswell clear liner and so far its hardening up as expected. Gonna let it cure overnight and try abusing it to see what happens. I also plan on letting some chip soak in...

Gradually gets harder to start and conks out after 8 miles ish

If you havent already done so upgrade to the SH775 regulator rectifier and be done with notoriously weak Suzuki systems. Contact Nessism and see if he has one. And have him send you the install pictures.

    6 volt bulbs

Im putting together a 1970 CT90. Came factory wired for rear turn signals although not factory installed. They were an option but the wiring was there from the factory. I got a 78 parts bike to use for some of the missing parts and the signals. Found the OEM wires and wired up rear signals and...

Whatever new server Frank switched to needs to refund any fees. I too give up after clicking reload 50 to 100 times and get nothing. This is the worst its been in nearly 20 years on the forum. Im getting the vibe many of you are as frustrated with the poor performance as I am.

    Tinting Caswell Tank Liner.

I got some chrome silver epoxy dye on the way. Idea is to dip a teaspoon of sauce out ant tint it and then add hardener. Then let it cure a day or so to do a gasoline soak to test it. Im confident it will be fine. Secondly, theres a lot of pinholes i repaired and Caswells a lot thicker than...

I can see the tape simplicity. Stored in memory for future use.

What glue - for decal on side panel

I would have used a sticker and lay masking tape on the cover and then mask off the entire panel and put the adhesive on the panel. Then lay the sticker inside your tape boundaries and let it cure. Unmask it after its cured well.
