A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Main air jets and what they do?

My manual states it's the Main Air Jet. Any answers to my question? It is a 1980 model.

Main air jets and what they do?

I bought new jets cause the old ones were all the wrong size. It is called a main air jet(on most sites and manual) and is not pressed in. It screws in. It is the only jet you can remove on the intake side. In the manual the size is 1.6 and on the jet it is 160 tkent02.

Main air jets and what they do?

Can anyone please tell me what the Main Air jets do and what they influence when going larger or smaller? My Suzuki GS550 ET has 1.6 main air jets(stock). I bought new jets and it came with 1.8. Is that a problem?

Stuck choke plungers on my 81 GS550E

The carbs are pretty clean. No gunk to be seen. Here in RSA we do not have carb dip like in the USA etc. only fuel system cleaner wich is not as strong. The plungers are stuck so they had to be dipped and boiled while still in the carb bodies.

Stuck choke plungers on my 81 GS550E

Hi guys All 4 of the plungers were stuck. I then took the carbs apart and started the cleaning process. They were dipped in carb cleaner and boiled in lemon juice. One of the plungers came out. When I put it back and it sat for the weekend, it was stuck again. Any ideas??

    Can I use this rectifier??

It is for a scooter/quad. I did test the r/r using the multimeter on the diode setting. On the pink and yellow wire I got 519 on both.

    Can I use this rectifier??

I did hook it up using the black as the ground but it did not work. I read on a different forum that the black wire is the sense wire and green is ground for this r/r.

    Can I use this rectifier??

Hi guys I bought a new rectifier thinking mine was done. The new r/r has 5 wires. Red Black Pink Green Yellow. I think the Black wire is a sense wire and Red is power to the battery, so how do I make the 3 stator wires work with only 2 remaining r/r wires(Pink and Yellow)? The headlight wire...
