All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Need some grip on my left grip

Hairspray!!!!!!!!!! That's all I ever use. I've been using hairspray for about forty years now, I even use it to hold the grips on my tools (pliers, crimpers, cutters, etc.), never had an issue. Been really surprised as to how many people never knew about using hairspray.

    Haynes or Clymer?

Why not get both? I've found that there are some things that Haynes does better with and some that Clymers does better at, so me being the way I am I would just get both if they are available. You can never go wrong with having multiple how to sources.

    Polishing Clear Coat

Why would you use rubbing compound on something freshly painted? I've always been told that when you have something painted you are to wait at least thirty days before doing anything to it. If you paid someone to paint parts for you, all of that should have already been done, all that you...

    GS 750 Cafe/Modern Sport bike

You can also upload the pictures to thegsresources in your user CP by creating albums and dumping the pictures in there but, like TheCafeKid said, I would recommend photobucket, you can store many many more pictures there than you can here on thegsresources.

Really nice pictures, now I feel bad after you rode 350 miles, hopefully it wasn't specifically for the tag:( I guess the real point is that you enjoyed your ride. I just noticed in your stable you have a '79 CX500C, I had one of those, a '79 CX500C that was Dark Candy Apple Blue, it was the...

The next tag: This of course is the Houston skyline, I apologize for the picture, it didn't quite come out the way I wanted. The last time I had been to this spot to take pictures the pine trees were not there. I rode around the city and could not find a clear unobstructed view of the skyline...

    Riding Game

The avatar in reality is not me but I did take the picture and it's a pilot friend of mine sitting inside of one of our aircraft getting ready to taxi out. Wish it was me in the avatar picture, hopefully someday it'll be me. The next tag, I'm thinking "Skyline," should be an easy one. ;)

Okay here is your Military jet on a pole, I'll let you pick the one you like! I'm on my way to get the next tag now :):D Edit: Just to give a little more information, the KC135 in the last three pictures is a KC135A model that was used as our Zero "G" aircraft, more affectionately...

When do you replace an old helmet?

I think ddaniels was talking about the Styrofoam not the cloth covered soft foam. The styrofoam has a shelf life that will outlast mankind. You do know that most helmet manufacturers sell replacement parts including all of the foam and padded foam pieces, chin straps, etc., right? I know Bell...
