DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    new member looking for advice

You may be able to achieve better performance than I did. I fitted a locally manufactured O'Brien pipe. I'm sure the Vance and Hines headers are probably superior. However as you have indicated the jetting needs to be appropriately adjusted as well as the intake to gain maximum advantage. You...

    new member looking for advice

You will also reduce the performance of the bike. You will have a louder bike a probably a less tractable engine. I know plenty of 1100G riders who would be happy to have the mufflers. Sorry for the bad news. I just returned my 1000G to standard mufflers and am amazed at the improvement.

Changing the shocks on the GS1000G

I bought my GS1000G new in December 1981 and rode it out of the dealers stock standard. Sometime within two or three years a friend loaned me a pair of Fournale air shocks he had used on his GS1100G. With the 1100G sold the socks stayed on my bike. Now over thirty years and nearly 70,000kms...

    Rear caliper stay arm GS1000G

I need to replace the bolt and castle nut that holds the stay arm to the rear calliper. ( don't ask) the holes aren't lining up, so I took out one of the two caliper bolts. Now I can't get the calliper bolt to line up. Could one of the brake pads have come loose? Any thoughts before I pull it...

Tyres Tyres I have been running Metzler Marathons for a number of sets and have been very impressed with the wear - at least 12-13,000 km from a rear. Just got my first set of Demons and they seem to be great so far. Great in the wet!

    Help dress Jennifer's fairing.

The fairing on my bike was on it in the show room when I purchased the bike in '81. Probably fitted by Suzuki Australia - the Australian importers.
