DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

He's had dry patches before. I think he'll have to decide if he can do what he needs to to get back in the hunt.

    Ethanol and fuel injection

Back when I had a gas mower, I never remembered to put Stabil in it in the fall. Every spring I had to drain the carb and fuel line before it would start. That was the lowest point of the system, where the water collected. There was one year that I remembered to put stabilizer in, and it started...

You ready to park your GS?

Has anyone been spotted selling ethanol-ready rubber parts for old stuff? Is there an additive that actually helps? The E10 is bad enough already.

    '83 GS850GL - Seals leaking -- FIXED Now ;)

Good suspension is a wonderful thing, innit? #1: For those in the audience, sticky forks can also be the result of slightly bent forks. Mine are each curved about a millimeter, maybe 1.5 (not a localized bend). Lucky for me, they have the exact same deviation, and can be aligned so they work...

    Pic of the week game

Can anybody got a shot of your shadow against Jersey barriers while rolling? I've always enjoyed seeing that, the few times it's happened. The idea might be too dangerous to get, except as a still from a mounted GoPro.

    Throttle lock/ cruise control

There's an interesting variety of opinions about the throttle rockers. I see a few people don't feel they don't have sufficiently fine control with them. The first time I tried track riding without it, my throttle control got a lot worse. For me, it's always there; twisties, slab, whatever. I...

    Throttle lock/ cruise control

For that kind of dough, I want a real cruise control. Steve, you're doing it wrong. Those are for relaxing your grip, not your wrist. Choose what you want from the following list: NHTSA Rider Assistance Levels 1-Throttle rocker: Relieves grip stress. 2-Throttle lock: Allows relaxation of...

    Intake boots - again !

Well, I ordered up a spool of TPU from FormFutura to experiment with. They have lot of interesting engineering grade filaments. It turns out, the "U" is for urethane. No wonder it has good chemical resistance. Formfutura claims their TPU is heat resistant up to 135?C. So, not so good near the...

    Intake boots - again !

Very interesting. I never would have guessed TPU is fuel resistant. So, I should be able to attempt some air box gaskets. Eeeeinteresting.

    Intake boots - again !

This thought has crossed my mind as well. I can handle the scanning now, but I'm not sure what material to use to make the clones. I'm thinking some kind of silicone in a printed and smoothed mold. I'm sure the folks at Smooth-On can sort me out. I'd like to attempt airbox gaskets and snorkels...

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

No pics, but I finally got out for the first ride this year. I just took the long way running an errand or two. I needed that. I tried out the new Olympia pants. I like 'em. Better than the Tour Master pair I've been wearing the last few years. It's nice to have back pockets again, though the...

How many GS's is too many GS's?

I need to get down to a single GS. A single bike, really. All three of mine get used the same way, when they get used. The 1000G is going to be the keeper. At least, there's nothing else I'd rather have right now. I thought maybe the ZRX could take its place, but that relationship never took...

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Thanks for the offer. I'm not sure I'm going to actually get out there. I was up until 3 or so last night, so I'm not feeling any gumption today. Definitely a but fuzzy in the head.
