    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Magnetized shims came in the mail!

    You can also rubb the shims up against some non magnitized still and it will demagnitize them. youll just have to use different pieces of still for each one. it worked for me.

    well being a un carful kid when i was doing my rebuild on the top end i slipped one of the oil rings off track and i put it ll togeather without thinking. Long story short i tried to rotate the motor with the big nut and broke it off. Stupid me i have done so many things wrong on this rebuild...

    yeah i have it off the crank shaft but what do i need to do next. I cant take off the old rotor on the advanced timing plate. is that what the large hex nut is for to remove the old rotor. if so ho doi take it off now that i broke it. thanks

    Arr you sure on the 5 ohm coils i thought that they used 3 ohm also. i have a 1979 gs 750 should i use the 5 ohm coils or the 3 ohm ones. thanks

    I have a dyna s igntion, and i am planning on using my accel coils, but i also have a some brand new dyna 2.2 ohm coils dc4-1. do you have a ny directions on installing the accel coils. thanks

    I am pretty sure thats what they use. But iam not 100% i have a 1979 gs 750 and it uses 3 ohms and 8mm wires. hope that helps.

    I got a 1994 1200 bandit exaust to fit on my 1979 gs 750. sounds awsome too i just cut off my collars on my old pipes and the ones off the bandit and welded the old to the new. worked great just measure the distence between the pipes and total ditance on all four and you should be fine. mine fit...

    any insight is better than none. thanks for the reply, i have heared that the dyna 2 ohm coils can put out up to 3 ohms and the accel coils can put out to 5 ohm but i dont know for fact. thanks for the reply though

    I have just bought three sets of coils for my 1979 gs 750. i have a dyna s ignition, i have two sets of dyna dc4-1 and dc8-1 the dc4-1 are 2 ohms and the dc8-1 are 5 ohms. i also have a set of accel coils that are 3 ohms that are for my bike, but they are used.     I read some jetting mods a guy did to his 750. said he out 120 mains and put the needle to the lowest position. im gonna try it when i get home next week. Reply on what you used. thanks
