A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Which progressive springs for 550m katana?

Rebuilding the front end of our '82 550M katana restoration project and I want to install new progressive springs. The progressive web site doesn't have that particular machine listed so I looked at babbitts and their web site told me the same part number (51171-34540) was used on the '81 650E...

    morgan carbtune deliveries

I wouldn't necessarily suspect the company as the source of the problem here many (probably all) I know about that have purchased from the company have had good response from them, me included. Being an expat Brit I regularly rely on the mail service for sending or receiving stuff from over...

Where to find a quality pic of choke rail components?

Welcome mate. Part way through disassembly mate. Screw had been taken out to remove the cable retaining plate then I figured I should take a picture so I could remind wallowgreen of the future exactly how it all went together.... Hey Mak? :D

    Project: Cool Kat II

Hey Russ, So glad this deal worked out for you in the end after all the trouble I know it took you to get the machine. Will be watching the build with interest and I wish you luck with it. Where to buy pilot air screw?

Post up in the parts wanted section for what you need. Original parts are of superior quality than aftermarket replacements. Someone out there will have what you need. Chef does a lot of work on these carbs for people, perhaps he might be able to help.

    Poll for Compufire R/R Users

Fitted a compu-fire on my 1100 after the battery got boiled at Reno this year. So far so good, seems to be doing a good job. Can't tell if the stator is running cooler or not but hoping it is and I've seen the last of those burning up. Not sure how many miles yet but it's not that many so voted...

    replacing spark plug wires

Well I went through this trying to track down why my 850 was running like crap. Though others know better than me, I suspect weak or poor spark will be the problem with sub optimal resistance in the coil secondary side. The system was designed to have a certain resistance from plug cap to plug...

    replacing spark plug wires

I've done this on my '79 850. There are resistors in the plug caps and you can access them by using a fairly large flat blade screwdriver on the brass nut up inside the cap that clips onto the top of the plug itself. It just unscrews as normal tip it up and the resistor will fall out. They look...

Paul Miller Suzuki - dead or alive???

Can't figure this guy out. He listed a NOS exhaust I was looking at on auction. Starting bid was $99 and bidding didn't meet his reserve. Item was relisted on BIN for $169 and didn't sell. I emailed him to ask if he intended to relist it on auction, he responded and said sure sent me a link to...

    cam chain tensioner and guilds

Our mate bwringer has a nice write up, you'll probably see it linked off Basscliff's site where T sent you: http://bwringer.com/gs/camchaintens.html All the seals and stuff are listed there, just order them from the part numbers as often they're not shown on the parts lists. I did for my 850...
