A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Riding Game

Sorry to hear that, my son spent seven years in the ARMY he's out now and thank you Jesus he came home safe. I know you most likely did not know the soldier but just the same, my sincere condolences to the family and all families who have lost someone in these wars. :(

SCORE!!!!! Great job! I must admit I was already beginning to think about an alternative tag in case it stalled the game. Just out of curiosity, any idea why the flags are at half staff? or is it in honor of Christa McCauliffe? Just curious.

    DOT Mirrors?

I only take mine to motorcycle dealerships for the inspection, I found that if you take it anywhere but a dealership the idiots that do the inspections think that it is their right and part of their job to get on the bike and ride it so they can "check the brakes" before they issue a sticker...

    Craigslist "funnies"

Come on guys! That bike belongs to brandon25 a member here, he posted that build to the projects/rebuilds area and everyone here gave him a hard time over the rigid frame. Here's a link to the build: http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?t=174452&page=2 I think it's kinda cool...

    1983 Suzuki GS1100ED --- "Big Boy"

I have been thinking the same thing, I think the studs would be easier to deal with but the bolts would provide a cleaner look. I haven't decided which way to go either.

1982 GS 1100 EZ turn signals

This is what I used on my '82 1100EZ The thing I like about these is that the turn signals are no longer the center of attention when you see the bike, the originals were in my opinion way oversized. These are nice and bright and when not in use pretty much blend into the bike...

    82 GS1100E Project/Cleanup

You weren't kidding, it does look like the twin! Nice score! What's the condition of the tank? Mine is shot  but thats okay it wouldn't be fun if it was easy :) If you decide you don't want those case guards, let me know I might be interested.

    Look what followed me home!

If you mean me, right now the plan is to restore it back to original and just enjoy the heck out of it. I figure the red one isn't suited for long distance riding because of the way I have it built so this one my wife and I can do a little traveling on. :)

    Look what followed me home!

You'd love this one, the cradle lowers down to the ground, there's a little ramp that inserts into the center cradle support and you just roll the bike up into the cradle, the cradle will support the bike so you don't have to worry about it falling over then synch down the upper and middle wheel...

    Look what followed me home!

The front tire sits inside a cradle that is locked into the vehicle by way of the receiver hitch which in itself doesn't allow the front end to swivel, the handlebars are locked out and stabilized by strapping to a "T" bar at the top of the cradle but I also use a second set of straps that goes...

    Look what followed me home!

:D:D It's funny you say that, a couple weeks ago I was waiting for a guy to come out and give me an estimate on some exterior work, I saw him drive up and as I was headed for the door I saw him walking toward the garage and talking, I couldn't figure out who he was talking to, as I walked out...

    Look what followed me home!

I was the same way when I first got it, all of the manufacturers of these say the same thing to remove the chain and the only reason I've been given is to keep from damaging the transmission by way of it somehow jumping into gear and also to prevent undue wear and tear on the transmission from...
