A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I just replaced my stock mirrors with round bar end mirrors. Now that the old mirrors aren't annoying me, my stock turn signals are. Those stalks are SO long! Anyone found a good replacement? I'm thinking a black stalk much shorter and maybe a smaller, round blinker face. Maybe its time to go LED?

I'm mostly interested in the aesthetic...any suggestions?

So based on an underwhelming response, I went ahead and bought some new signals. Here they are:

They are about 3" shorter than the stock blinkers. Not too modern looking (all the LED signals look...cheesy) I kinda like the pupil in the eye look...
tinted lens covers and the round shape will match the new mirrors. I'll post a bike pic with them installed once I get em.

I think those are like the ones on my brother in law's Victory 8-Ball. One of his is cracked. Where did you get them?

Be sure to post pics after install. ;) I'm not a particular fan of the long stems on mine either. They're so long they look like they are sagging under their own weight. It'll be nice to get the tucked in towards the bike, but that's down the road yet for me.

This is what I used on my '82 1100EZ

The thing I like about these is that the turn signals are no longer the center of attention when you see the bike, the originals were in my opinion way oversized. These are nice and bright and when not in use pretty much blend into the bike as you can see in the last two pictures.

Just my .02

Bought these for $15 Per Set.

Couldn't stand those stock Clunker-lights!

I DID have to get a new turn signal relay, for these to work properly.....and they are not LED's.(but my stock relay was giving me trouble for years now anyways.)

So I tried the new lights finally (been busy!). They don't blink, just a steady on. :( Was hoping to not have to get into more electronic frigging, but I am afraid its headed that way. V8, what did you use for a relay?
