I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

    Gas Leaking from intake box

There is no prime position on this. It uses vacum from the carbs to open the valve. Just on and reserve. I rebuilt the ptecock but it still leaks from the opening when the tank is off the bike .

    Battery Boiled Over

Yes the ground wire was directly on the battery the other connections were to the stock harness. I only changed the ground from the frame directly to the battery.

    Battery Boiled Over

The R/R was grounded directly to the the battery. This regulator seems very large. I don't think it will fit in the space on my bike

    GS550 Cam Timing

Ok I did some measuring today. The cam chain is definitely beyond the factory specification and is stretched. I measured between 21 pins. I only have 20,000 miles on this bike and have owned it since it had 1000 miles on it. I don't understand because I take very good car of this bike. This...

How likely is it that my timing chain jumped? 1982 Gs550

I have the exact same problem with the timing mark being slightly below the surface. It runs fine but is a hard start after sitting for more than two days. Did you ever solve your problem https://goo.gl/photos/UktjRFtMgDwvkyjr8

    GS550 Cam Timing

OK! I just read something someplace else that the cam notches need to be parallel as well. Is this true? Take a look the pic again and let me know if I am off 1 link. CRAP.

    GS550 Cam Timing

Well. the bike runs good. However its hard starting after it sits for a few days. Im just checking everything. I'm pretty sure it was the vacume line to the petcock. When i checked the valve clearance i notice this.
