    Do you suppose that maybe...just maybe..next spring we can both ride our skunks together?? I would schedule the time to come back to MI just for that weekend of pleasure to share it with you.

      Why, absolutely Chuck! I might even make it down there. I would have to trailer it of course. But not because I'd want it to be a trailer Queen, it's because my back won't take the long haul.

        We got some excellent twisties..we went today and had 4 riders. Put on 210 miles on the 1000 C.

          Good, be great to watch the progress.

          Still waiting for mine to show up Chuck....
          It's smoke that make electronic components work.
          Every time I've let the smoke out by mistake, they never work again.

            Well soon as i get my second skunk done i plan on selling it.. I got a guy that says hes interested but if tht falls thru i will for sure let you have first dibs. So start selling lots of parts and start saving.

                    It Finally was a nice day to paint. 78 degrees and low humidity; just perfect!!!

                    I blew it off with the air hose, scuffed up what little surface rust had accumulated while it 'sat' in my dining room , waiting to be primed. sprayed down the bare metal with DX320 wax and grease remover, then while it was still wet, I wiped that off with some clean white rags. gave it a once over with the air hose, choked my full size gun down to about 4" and shot it with DPLF epoxy primer. it took all of about 5 Oz to cover it using my Astro Pneumatic EVO4014.

                    Fresh off the gun...

                      You have a good inline drier on the hose?? And remember to keep then tank drained.

                        Nope... I open the drain on the tank a bit, let the compressor run for a while to drain the tank really well, then let the compressor cool down completely! when I'm all set to go, the tank is tipped up so the drain is at the lower end, crack open the drain and spray away. I did the same thing when I shot the front end on the modified, the front end on the late model and my '78 Honda. that is why I waited till the humidity was only 15%. but, as always...YMMV...

                        The plan is to shoot the top coat this Saturday morning in a booth.

                        just so you know, DPLF can be top coated anytime up to 7 days and that's the reason I chose to use it.
